AddressAn experienced Medical Receptionist is sort for Birregurra Medical Centre. A charming country practice set an easy 40 minute drive from Geelong, 15 minutes from Winchelsea or Colac and 30 minutes from Lorne.
The medical centre is a privately run, GP owned clinic comprised of 2 GPs a podiatrist and practice nurses.
The right candidate will split their time between reception duties and general administration tasks, often needing to multitask and problem solve on the run.
The new receptionist will need to be ready to hit the ground running with immediate responsibilities including booking appointments, taking payments, managing day to day logistics, liaising with health professionals and being the friendly face of our medical centre.
BMC itself is set within the Birregurra Community Health Centre building and as such has close ties with Colac Area Health and Hesse Rural Health.
The successful candidate will need the right mix of fun vs firm and policy vs practicality. The job will be rewarding and remunerated but the receptionist will need to be ready to wrangle doctors, patients, staff, IT, bureaucrats and unheard of global pandemics all whilst keeping calm and carrying on.
Previous medical reception experience preferred but not essential. Start date negotiable. On the job training provided. 2 days per week envisaged with potential for this to expand and leave cover additional.
