Medical Receptionist

Responsibilities
- Managing telephone and patient enquires, scheduling appointments for patients within the practice, billings, messages, and other general administrative duties
- Maintaining patient files, handling mail, email, faxes, and scanning
- Ensuring the Medical Centre is tidy and presentable
- Processing patient payments and Medicare claims through Easyclaim/Tyro
Skills and experience
- Professional and personable telephone manner
- Proficient computer skills
- Demonstrated initiative, time management and flexibility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High standard of presentation and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
- Understand and adhere to strict patient confidentiality protocols
The practice is open from 6.45am-7pm Monday-Friday and you must be available for shifts in between these hours, as well as participating in the Saturday morning roster between 8am-12pm.
