AddressPart-time Medical Receptionist(3-4 days per week)
We are a busy specialist pain and anaesthetic practice seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. We are located in Northcote not far from public transport.We are a small family-friendly and supportive practice.
You will be working primarily for a team of specialist anaesthetists/pain management physicians. The plan is to build the practice over the next 18 months. This is currently a part-time position with the possibility of future full-time work negotiable. The applicant will preferably be able to work up to 5 days per week between 9:30 am-5pm Monday-Friday, with a competitive hourly rate commensurate with level of experience.
Position Role:
- Front desk reception, meeting and greeting patients
- Answering telephone calls and incoming emails
- Scheduling appointments and theatre lists
- Invoicing, receipting and Medicare claiming
- Maintaining the patient recall and followup system
- Liaising with hospital staff, surgeons, anaesthetists and allied health
Requirements:
- Previous experience in medical reception preferred
- Ability to multi-task efficiently
- Professional and courteous at all times
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Excellent communication skills and compassion dealing with a complex patient cohort
- Gentu experience would be a bonus though training will be provided
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word
