Medical Receptionist for an immediate start. They have a focus on adolescent and paediatric behavioural and developmental needs. You will have the pleasure of working with a vibrant and like-minded team providing administration support for leading Paediatric Specialists within their private clinic.In this rewarding role, as the
Medical Receptionist, you will be caring for and dealing with many children and their families. You will be the first point of contact, guiding parents when scheduling appointments to meet their child’s needs, all while easing their worries and concerns with your calm and confident manner.As a valued team member, you will also have the continued gratitude and utmost respect from the specialists as you help them navigate their way through their busy schedules taking the pressure off them, so they can ensure they are delivering the best possible care to the patients and their families.HOURS: Monday to Thursday between the hours of 8.30 am – 5.00 pm (30 hours per week)Responsibilities include the following:
- Liaise with patients and their families compassionately and professionally.
- Answer the telephone courteously and professionally.
- Utilise the clinic software system (Xestro) effectively - Training provided
- Make and reschedule appointments.
- Record appropriate information on new clients.
- Bill patients and receipt of same
- Operate EFTPOS machines.
- Receive and convey messages accurately in writing, verbally, and electronically.
- Liaise with clinic medical staff, allied health institutions, and professionals.
- Data entry
- Adhere to end-of-day procedures.
- Undertake banking reconciliation processes at the end of day.
To be considered for this role you will possess the following:
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy (Xestro preferred, but not essential)
- Fast and accurate keyboard skills
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Previous experience working in a busy medical practice favourable.
- Professional mature outlook
