We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly specialist practice.
Part time contract, 8.30am- 5pm, 3 or 4 days/week, with opportunity to become permanent if candidate is suitable.
Duties include but not limited to:
· Answering phone calls & making appointment bookings
· Liaising with patients, GPs, specialists, hospitals, etc to organise consults and tests.
· Reviewing patient referrals
· Scheduling and managing hospital lists
· Preparing fee estimates for patients
· Invoicing and reconciliation of patient, Medicare, DVA, Work Cover and Health Fund accounts
· Medicare, Eftpos and private insurance billing
· Review and revise administrative systems to improve efficiencies
· Work effectively in a team
· General administration and secretarial support
· Other duties as required by employer
The candidate should have at least three years experience in a medical practice, preferably cardiology.
Good knowledge of medical software (Eg: Clinic to Cloud or Genie software).
