The successful candidate will have proven skills working in a similar environment within a very busy patient clinic. This position is available for an immediate start!
Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Meet and greet of patients visiting the practice
- Taking all incoming telephone calls and assisting patients with general enquiries
- Booking patient appointments using Clinic to Cloud software
- Providing general administration support and proof reading of medical correspondence
- Decipher medical communications and identifying conditions of urgency
- Processing of all patient billing/receipting
- A minimum of 3 years specialist practice experience or a minimum of 5 years experience within a GP practice
- A typing speed of 70wpm with accuracy
- Demonstrate professional communication skills with patients and doctors on the phone and via email
- An exemplary telephone manner and a compassionate demeanour
- The ability to build rapport with patients and show empathy
- Friendly, positive attitude and can interact well with others
- Ability to work autonomously
