The Role
This full-time position is a unique opportunity for an individual with outstanding customer service skills to join the team working at Queensland Fertility Group as a Medical Receptionist/administrator for QFG and for our Specialists.
Administrators are important members of this successful healthcare company and we respect and value the need for experienced customer service focussed individuals working hand in hand with our highly skilled medical team.
This pivotal role will perform all aspects of medical reception & administration work involved in the patient pathway: coordinating patient bookings and appointments with specialists, nurses, counsellors and scientists, theatre bookings, phone calls, typing and correspondence, and concierge activities to optimise the patient experience.
The role would suit someone who has experience in a similar role, who is compassionate and sensitive to the needs of our patients undergoing fertility treatments. We believe your strong customer service skills will contribute significantly to the provision of the world class care we deliver.
The position will located be across our Brisbane clinics with varying shifts spanning our business hours of 6:30am-5pm.
Role responsibilities
- Coordinate patient bookings and appointments
- Update and manage patient information database
- Answer high volume of incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Conduct individualised patient quotations and billing
- Provide support and assistance for patients
- Receipting, daily bank reconciliation and invoicing
- Ordering of office supplies and stationery
- Coordination of office cleaners, up-keep and maintenance in all office and laboratory areas
Skills & Experience
Obstetrics / Gynaecology experience would be advantageous. Experience with Genie, Gentu or a similar software program is desirable.
Applicants also require:
- Outstanding customer service experience preferably in a medical setting
- Impeccable communication skills (verbal and written) and a courteous phone manner
- Office administration and/or accounts receivable
- Sound working knowledge of database systems
- Understanding of patient confidentiality
- The ability to build rapport with patients
- Empathetic and supportive nature
- Knowledge of Medicare and Private Health Insurance
- Knowledge of IVF (desirable)
