We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join our dynamic team. We provide high-quality patient service and administrative support to our eight-doctor gastroenterology service. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a medical administration role and possess excellent time management skills being organised, efficient and proactive with clear communication skills. Our rooms are centrally located, a car park is provided or in close proximity to public transport of you prefer. We offer a generous, above award salary ($35-$40 per hour) depending on experience.

The position is part-time 3 days per week, with the flexibility to cover additional hours in times of heavier demand or annual leave is essential.

Hours are as follows:

• Monday: 8.00 am - 5.00 pm
• Thursday: 8.00 am - 5.00 pm
• Friday: 8.00 am - 5.00 pm

Your responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to:

• Meeting and greeting patients.
• Answering telephones
• Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
• Scheduling patient appointments
• Booking theatre lists and liaising with hospitals
• Preparing and managing patient accounts, accepting and receipting payments
• Audio typing.

Essential Criteria:

• Mature professional manner, ability to work autonomously and as a member of a small professional team.
• Previous experience in medical specialists' rooms/medical administration
• Experience with Genie medical software on Apple Mac is desirable.
