ABOUT ABSEC

AbSec – NSW Child, Family and Community Peak Aboriginal Corporation, is the peak organisation for Aboriginal children, young people and families in NSW. We provide an Aboriginal perspective on child protection and out-of-home care policy to the NSW Government and support Aboriginal-led organisations deliver effective services for Aboriginal children, young people and families. We are a not-for-profit, incorporated community organisation, governed by an all-Aboriginal board.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Join the AbSec team as our Membership and Events Coordinator to create impactful experiences that drive change for the Aboriginal children and family sector including growing our membership. If you are skilled at planning and executing events, and excel in cultivating strong relationships with members, apply now to make a difference and help maximise our engagement.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive membership growth through recruiting, supporting and retention of members
• Engage with members to ensure participation in AbSec activities and Events
• Plan, organise and run AbSec events
• Partnership engagement
• Grant management to support enhancement

Benefits:

• Full-time 35-hour week based in Marrickville
• Salary: SCHADS Level 4 commensurate with skills and experience plus superannuation and not-for-profit salary packaging
