The Opportunity
We are on the search for a National Account Manager who will be responsible for the continued growth of our ecommerce channel as well as managing 2 key national retailers. This role is an existing position within in our business and as such there is a foundation laid for the new person to take the reigns and then mould to make their own in due course.
You will be responsible for negotiating and implementing range availability including NPI, promotional activity and display of all our products within digital vendors and digital marketplaces to ensure budget & planned objectives are achieved. Supported by the National Sales Manager who you will work closely with in conjunction with all other departments to deliver our exciting plans for the channel that you will help build and develop.
Whilst the role is primarily focused around the management of our ecommerce vendors it also will involve the week to week management of 2 large national footprint retailers and potentially some other smaller National Accounts. Similarly to the ecommerce responsibilities we will require you to build a rapport with the key external stakeholders and help establish plans with these retail chains in line with our company strategies.
Role responsibilities:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales revenue and profit targets for assigned accounts
- Account management responsibility for key online partners
- Content management for all digital partners – images, copy, pricing with support from our marketing team
- Website content enrichment (uploading products, promotions, banners, etc)
- Collaboration on promotional/marketing plans and execution across all digital touchpoints
- Key account management of some traditional retail based accounts
- Building account plans for growth that align to company strategies
Skills & Experience:
We’re ideally looking for 2+ years’ experience a National or Key Account Management level selling some form of consumer product to a retail channel.
In addition, we’re looking for:
- Solid experience/understanding of 3rd party marketplace management such as eBay and Amazon
- Previous experience selling into to online retail channel strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with key stakeholders at all levels
- Microsoft Excel at intermediate level
- ERP knowledge preferred ie Pronto and Cognos
- Experience in digital strategy is not essential but will be favourable
- Ability to build long term plans and execute to those plans

- Relationship driven but ability to direct accounts to align to our strategies and not simply looking to agree to providing everything the customer wants
- Positive outlook that sees opportunities not hurdles when it doesn’t go your way
- A mindset to “get the job done”, someone who can over come obstacles and understands its not all going to be handed to them on a plate
This is an exciting role, in a growth channel that will be well supported by the whole business to ensure success for the right candidate. We are transitioning to a hybrid working situation and there will be a flexibility to work from home where it makes sense for the business however its expected that working in the office will also form a significant part of the role too.
