About the role
The Team Leader will motivate, mentor, train and support the team of Mental Health Recovery Support Workers, ensuring the ongoing performance of the team and the safe and timely provision of services to participants.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to:
Service Operations
- Manage and oversee the delivery of efficient and effective services to clients through developing and implementing quality service delivery.
- Maintain regular, positive communication and a working relationship with all stakeholders.
- Provide support and information to other Programs.
- Ensure disciplinary matters are responded to appropriately alongside Richmond Wellbeing policy.
- Keep the NDIS Manager updated on the operation of the service, development of the team and client issues.
- Attend to organisational compliance matters.
- Complete Funding body reporting requirements in a timely manner.
- Submit service delivery entries for client related work, meeting set targets.
Leadership and Management
- Provide regular, scheduled supervision to staff.
- Ensure performance development planning and review is conducted for all staff in accordance with Richmond Wellbeing policy.
- Facilitate team meetings.
- Develop a high functioning, cohesive team.
- Responsible for recruitment and induction of new staff.
- Ensure all staff are compliant with core mandatory training requirements of Richmond Wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and timely administration of the team. This may include timesheets, mileage, credit cards, budgets, vehicles, leave etc.
- Ensure expenditure is approved by a delegated person prior to any purchase or agreement with a third party.
- Initiation of client and staff disciplinary and performance matters.
- Maintain a level of delegated responsibility for NDIS portal.
- Deliver NDIS services within NDIS Funding Frameworks, Terms of Business and Operational Guidelines.
- Ensure policies, procedures and standards are followed and maintained.
- Oversees workflows and ensure appropriate use of resources.
- Provide support and guidance to staff re Duty of Care and Risk.
- Complete Riskman and Reportable Incident forms as required.
This role oversees the Midland Team.
This role part-time 0.8 FTE or full-time opportunity (Monday to Friday) and fixed term until April 2025 covering Parental Leave.
About you
To be considered for this role, you will possess;
- Relevant tertiary qualification and significant experience in a similar role.
- National Police Clearance.
- Ability to conduct supervision and provide appropriate line management support to staff.
- Understanding of NDIS processes and requirements and the compliance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
- Demonstrated experience and capability to develop and maintain professional partnerships with stakeholders.
- Well-developed time management and attention to detail to ensure efficient and effective outcomes are achieved to a high standard.
- Sound computer skills, and the ability to navigate across a variety of platforms including Microsoft Office.
- Well-developed skills in written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
- Demonstrated ability to operate within organisational guidelines, policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team.
