Position Overview:
As the Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support for the department's ICT systems. Responsibilities include administration, maintenance, capacity reviews, proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, adherence to cybersecurity best practices, and contributing to the development of standard processes and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and support for the department's ICT systems.
- Perform administration, maintenance, and support tasks.
- Undertake capacity reviews and identify opportunities for performance tuning.
- Proactively monitor critical ICT services and contribute to their resolution.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Ensure adherence to Cyber Security best practices.
- Provide strong technical support aligned with set standards and procedures.
- Contribute to ITIL processes including Incident, Change, Release, and Problem Management.
- Develop and maintain standard processes, procedures, and documentation.
- Provide advanced skills in fault diagnosis, operational responses, and proactive remedial action.
- Generate technical reports for stakeholders.
- Maintain high-quality performance adhering to standards and best practices.
- Support other operational teams and provide advice on fault resolution and new technology development.
- Participate in training and mentoring of team members.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies in the IT and communications industry.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in Enterprise Network Services.
- Proficiency in administration, maintenance, and support tasks related to Networking.
- Ability to analyze ICT services capacity and provide recommendations.
- Proactive monitoring of critical ICT services.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Vulnerability and Cyber Security practices within Networks.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
- Experience with Juniper, Cisco, 3Com/H3C/HPE, Aruba, F5, and network management systems.
