Night Shift Manager

Our client, a well established, family owned Cold Logistics Supplier, is seeking a switched on leader to manage their PM shift based at Arndell Park.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the Loader team, ensuring that the PM shift runs effectively. This is a permanent role and the hours are 8:30pm to 5:30am Sunday to Thursday.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Overseeing the activities of the Loader team, ensuring compliance in accordance with company policies, HACCP & WHS expectations
• Managing communication between Operations to ensure smooth despatch schedule is met for start up of next day.
• Ensuring store support communication is continuous and up to date with expected delays/delivery times.
• Managing the labour for those working their entire shift or part of their shifts on your time frame
• Sending a detailed daily shift report at the completion of each shift to allow for continuous communication
• Managing the TMS alerts including bundy starts and finish times, driver hours, pre-start alerts etc.
• Managing the flow of fleet to the maintenance department to ensure maintenance and repair are on schedule.
• Managing the flow of fleet to the maintenance department for completion of Truck Wash
• Working closely with the Yard team to manage their productivity and ensure all equipment is securely stowed, charged, maintained ready for use.
• Carrying out daily checks on padlocks, truck keys, fuel cards, temperature probes etc.
• Planning and assisting with rostering, pre-loading, fleet allocation.
• Safely manoeuvre vehicles on and off docks as they are required.
• Ensuring ongoing training is adhered to for any new team members.
• Manging the completion of Rapid Induct courses etc during wait times.
• Overseeing/responsible for all fuel level of despatching equipment, especially sub-contractors

To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:

• Strong Logistics experience
• People Management experience
• HR or HC License
• Thorough understanding of HACCP & WHS expectations
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to mediate between team members, clients, and management
