Nurse Unit Manager – Chemotherapy

Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) have an exciting fixed term opportunity for an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join the Chemotherapy team.

LRH provides comprehensive cancer care services including chemotherapy day unit services, with provision of coordinated and specialised cancer services to our community.

Reporting to the General Manager of Ambulatory and Allied Services this position plays an important role in providing leadership and management for our Chemotherapy Unit. The successful applicant shall play a pivotal role in the provision of high-quality and person-centred care.

Our ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of years clinical experience
Demonstrated leadership and management experience, including financial and human resource management
Demonstrated team player and ability to work within an interdisciplinary framework
A passion for best practice in delivery of cancer care and chemotherapy services
Time management skills, ensuring deadlines are met
Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication including experience in analysing data, writing reports and making recommendations
Budgetary knowledge and understanding of funding implications, including sub-acute activity targets
Demonstrated ability to introduce and manage change
Adherence to safe practice standards and policies
High level decision-making ability
Basic understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook
