Overview
A great leadership opportunity is available for a Nurse Unit Manager to join our dedicated and highly efficient perioperative services team at Port Lincoln Hospital.
In this role, you will use your clinical knowledge and experience to provide the pivotal coordination of patient/client care delivery the Operating Rooms within a Health Unit/Community Service. Your main focus will be the line management, coordination and leadership of nursing/midwifery and/or multi-disciplinary team activities to achieve continuity and quality of patient/client care and outcomes.
Eligibility
Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse, Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate with at least 3 years post registration experience.
Applicants must have effective leadership skills including developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills; proven ability for flexibility, innovation and creativity within the whole of the service setting; ability to review and improve models of care to be person and family centred; ability in leading and promoting consumer engagement initiatives; demonstrated ability to foster a workplace environment that develops staff potential and demonstrated ability in the leadership and facilitation of change management.
