The emergent curriculum offered by the service integrates elements of literacy, numeracy, science, music, social awareness, emotional intelligence and language development into a typical week. There is also access to a weekly visit from a Musician for music experiences and a qualified sports coach for an opportunity to work on motor skills.
As the Nursery Lead Educator you must:
- Be confident! You will have 10-12 babies per day in your care.
- Be able to create an engaging environment where babies feel safe and secure
- Ensure learning and development are aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.
- Have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal!
- Develop strong relationships with children and effectively communicate with families.
- Diploma (minimum) or / Almost completed a bachelor degree IN ECE
- Experience working within a long day setting with a similar age group
- Strong understanding of NQF, including regulations and frameworks
- Food Safety, Mandatory Reporting and Current First Aid/CPT
- Ability to work with a rotating roster
