Follow the link to find out what its like to live, work and play in our wonderful region:About the role:The Community Health Programs operate from GV Health's Corio Street Campus and provide a range of services to both adult and paediatric consumers living within the Goulburn Valley region. These include Dietetics, Healthy Mothers/Healthy Babies Outreach Program, Health Promotion, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Sexual Health Nursing, Speech Pathology and Self Management Support services.We are seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our experienced and supportive Community Health team. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the planning and implementation of occupational therapy services to young children (up to 6 years of age) presenting with developmental delays, neurological conditions, pre-diagnosis Autism Spectrum Disorders and other health and developmental issues impacting the child. Services are provided predominantly in modern clinic-based settings and include a mix of individual assessments and therapy sessions, and group programs. In this role you will work closely with other allied health disciplines including Speech Pathologists, and will be supported by Team Assistants.We are looking for:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in the planning and provision of Occupational Therapy services to young children and their families.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience in liaising with a wide range of community-based consumers, their families/carers, and service providers.
- Experienced Grade 1 Occupational Therapists are encouraged to apply.
