Responsibilities:
- Set-up new entities (Company, Trust, SMSF, etc.);
- Draft & provide engagement letters, prepare Ethical letters;
- Approval emails for client correspondence;
- Download ATO reports weekly;
- Update ASIC changes for clients;
- Process company annual reviews;
- Supporting a team of 35 accountants, working alongside an experienced Practice Manager;
- Involvement in onboarding & offboarding
- ATO registrations, cancellations, payment & lodgment deferral/extension
- General Database maintenance
- Lodgement of ATO & ASIC forms;
- Assisting with billings;
- Occasional greeting of clients in office and answering phone calls on switchboard (low volume);
- Other adhoc administrative tasks in the office.
Required skills and experience:
- No Accounting firm experience necessary
- Successful completion of Year 12 education
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexibility/ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and committed
- Willingness to learn
- Exposure to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Interest in the financial services industry
