The Akron Group NT is a rapidly growing, innovative, market leading company in the government asset maintenance and infrastructure sector in the Northern Territory.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Traffic Office Manager to work with our major clients. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Traffic Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running and delivery of infield services based on the client and legislated requirements. This role will have an oversight of the management of fleet, equipment and traffic control stock and is strongly focused on the supervision of the Traffic Controller crews throughout the projects. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated supervisory and client management experience, strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members.

Role

• Consult with clients, both current and potential
• Liaise with suppliers
• Management of the field (Traffic Controllers and Operations Manager)
• Conduct performance management meetings and training of staff
• Manage signage, uniforms and additional inventory
• Meet KPIs by conducting site audits, drug & alcohol testing and promote a strong safety culture
• Incident Investigation
• Scheduling of works
• Lead an excellent team environment & customer service satisfaction

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience managing a blue-collar workforce
• Previous experience in managing the expectations of various stakeholders
• Strong HR and Safety knowledge
• Advanced computer operations, clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to develop strong internal and external client relationships
• Traffic Management Designer (TMD) Accreditation is desirable but not essential. You should be interested and willing to obtain.
