The opportunity:
Join us as an Operations Manager for the vibrant Edmondson Square Retail Centre! Situated in a rapidly growing corridor, our Ed.Square Town Centre offers a diverse range of facilities including 60+ retailers, dining and entertainment quarter, fresh food market, playground and a range of health and wellbeing services.
Working as part of the Centre Management team and reporting to the National Operations Manager, your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, from overseeing building services and ensuring compliance to managing maintenance, sustainability projects, risk, contractors, and Tenancy Delivery.
Your behind-the-scenes efforts ensure our assets and communities run smoothly. Your dedication to flawless execution brings a sense of ease and reliability, contributing to a resident experience where they feel well cared-for.
Your mission? To deliver unparalleled customer service and drive peak operational performance for this remarkable asset.
As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:
- Implement top operating standards for the asset
- Providing Retail Tenancy Delivery on Cat 1 obligations and onsite works
- Overseeing procurement and supplier contract adherence
- Conducting routine inspections for risk, safety, and defects
- Maintaining the asset management and IT platforms
- Managing OPEX and CAPEX budgets alongside Finance Manager
- Maximizing value from completed projects
- Supervising contractors and onsite safety measures
- Tracking energy, water, and gas usage
- Collaborating with Sustainability Team for data collection and upgrades
- Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Retail Tenants
You may have all or some of the following skills and experience:
- Prior experience preferably in managing operations and facilities of Retail assets
- Tenancy Delivery experience in a Retail asset
- A relevant technical qualification – either an engineering degree, trade qualification or equivalent
- Demonstrated commercial acumen around budgets, operational plans, contracts and commercial agreements
- Understanding of emerging technology in Retail facilities
- Proficient negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with demonstrable experience in problem solving
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
