Well regarded in the local area and actively at the forefront of technology, they work closely with supplier companies involved in testing new varieties and cropping systems.
The Role
Due to impending retirement, there is now the requirement for an Operations Manager to come in and lead the cropping operations across their Moree properties. Reporting to the Aggregation Manager, you will be responsible for assisting develop, and implementing plans in an efficient and timely manner to drive business growth.
This includes:
- Day to day management of all cropping operations
- Staff and contractor management
- Working closely with agronomy consultants
- Manage budgets, cost control and maintain records
- Monitor industry developments and regulations
To be successful in this practical role you will have:
- 5+ years experience in 2IC or management capacity of a cropping operation
- Experience in either irrigated or dryland crop production
- Proven people management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders
- Agronomy knowledge
