About our Opportunity
A rare opportunity has become available for an Operations Manager to lead national projects for our Showers Group under the guidance of the Group GM and working closely with site GM's, Ops and Production Managers, influencing operational matters and driving standisation nationally to align all to the Showers Group overall goals.
You will facilitate Continuous Improvement initiatives designed to eliminate waste, non-value-added activities and improve performance in Safety, Quality, Product Delivery, Cost, and Inventory management. In this role, there will be a requirement to travel interstate, approximately once a month, in order to coach and mentor cross-functional teams in delivering improvements using Lean methodology in both operations and support areas.
You will also:
- collaborating with production to analyse key performance data to ensure improvement
- develop employee capability (skills and culture) for sustaining CI improvements
- lead CI projects and Kaizen events to deliver sustained operational and functional improvement
- execute improvement plans and initiatives to support the rollout and education of CI
- provide regular progress updates including reports and analysis
About You
Experience leading Lean Transformations in manufacturing operations along with someone who is analytical and technologically driven. Understanding lean six sigma, removal of duplication and streamlining processes, as key deliverables of this role. You need to have open and transparent communication style, you need to have the ability to connect with a range of people at different levels and the capacity to work well across all cross-functional teams.
Ideally, you will have:
- hands-on experience delivering process improvements
- minimum CSSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSC-CLSSGB)
- mechanical aptitude with a background in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing (highly desirable)
- experience using modern Operational Excellence and CI methods
- strong project management, organisational and presentation skills
- tertiary qualification in Operational Planning or equivalent, advantageous
