How you'll make a difference
In this position you will form part of a work team providing excellent customer service while undertaking general horticultural works, cleaning, maintenance and improvements of the parklands, playground equipment inspections and events preparation within the Urban Precincts and other depots when required. You will also assist in general maintenance (handyman) type duties that are described as “incidental work” without crossing licensing and regulatory boundaries. The position will contribute toward creating a positive visitor experience for park clients.
We are seeking a reliable person who possesses a broad range of practical skills to undertake general maintenance, repairs, cleaning and upkeep of all areas within the parklands. You will be a friendly, approachable, well presented, proactive team player that takes pride in your work.
What you bring to your new role
The ability to assist in general maintenance type duties across a range of trade skills.
The ability to organise and complete work activities in accordance with allocated times and schedules.
The ability to respond to customer expectations and display an appropriate communication style when interacting with customers.
Sound horticulture experience and knowledge.
Experience in events set up preparation will be favourably considered but is not essential.
Experience in playground maintenance desired but not essential.
MR Drivers licence (Mandatory).
WHS Construction Induction White Card (Mandatory).
