We have the role for you! Redland City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Horticultural Services Team Leader to join the team. This role will see you lead a small sized team of operational staff to deliver efficient, effective and timely horticultural services throughout Council's roadsides and streetscape areas. Guided by our Values, you will: be responsible for the efficient, effective and timely delivery of horticultural maintenance and construction services in accordance with Council's Service Level Agreements and Standards.lead a small team of day labour staff based on the principles of team work, cooperation and equity to create a harmonious and productive workplace.provide a high level of horticultural technical advice and expertise both within the team and to internal and external customers.ensure compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act, Regulation, Standard and Code and Council's Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental Protection requirementspro-actively identify, report and address any safety and environmental issues in the work environment. Eligibility You'll have a current class LR drivers licence.You'll have a Level 3 Trade Certificate (TAFE) in Horticulture or equivalent.You'll have the ability to participate in the after-hours on-call roster, including remote response and site-related operations over weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis.Successful applicants will be asked to consent to a police check.
