We are seeking a part-time Junior Accountant to join our firm. This role requires working 3 days a week, focusing on tax compliance and business consultancy across a range of industries. As a member of our team, you will work on diverse and complex projects, further developing your tax and business advisory skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare tax returns for companies, trusts, individuals, and sole traders
- Calculate FBT, CGT, and Div7A when required
- Compile and submit BAS/IAS
- Draft annual financial statements for tax planning
- Reconcile accounts and prepare journals using MYOB, QuickBooks, and Xero
- Month end processing, including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis, completed accurately and according to month end timelines
- Payroll reporting (external compliance) - Single Touch Payroll (STP), PAYG Tax Withheld & Monthly State Payroll Tax Returns
Eligibility Requirements:
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and verbal) is essential.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Sound knowledge of Income Tax, GST, CGT, etc
- A minimum of 2 years experience in an Australian Public Accounting Practice
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (Xero experience preferred)
- A proactive learning and growth mindset
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
Salary will be negotiated and commensurate with experience
