Atlassian is looking for an experienced Payroll Manager, who will be primarily responsible for managing our payroll process for employees located in multiple states within APAC. In addition, you will also be supporting the Global Payroll Team in delivering various cross-functional projects to streamline payroll processes and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
The ideal person will have experience processing large payrolls, proven track record in delivering projects, be systems savvy and have excellent communication skills. Oversee end-to-end APAC payroll processing for employees located in multiple states within India, including accurate and timely payroll processing, ensuring all necessary documentation is received, and processing of all employee changes and updates. Experience in countries would preferably include Australia, New Zealand, Japan, India and Philippines
Support payroll operations in other APAC and EMEA regions as needed
Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including tax filings, social security payments, and other required government contributions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement process improvements to streamline payroll processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.
Monitor and manage payroll-related expenses, including reviewing and reconciling monthly payroll reports and addressing discrepancies as needed.
Work with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to support various payroll-related initiatives, including new market expansion, year-end payroll reconciliations, tax reporting, and other audits.
Manage relationships with external payroll vendors, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of payroll services, and monitoring vendor performance.
Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and requirements in India, and adjust processes accordingly.
Supervise, mentor, and coach team members to ensure the development and growth of the payroll team, and create a positive and inclusive work environment.
Extensive payroll experience with large and complex payrolls
Strong knowledge in Global Payroll laws and regulations, as well as experience managing payroll vendors and service providers.
Additional payroll knowledge of other countries is a plus
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
