Reporting into the Payroll Manager, as a Payroll Officer, you will ensure Arup salary and wages and related payments are paid on time and accurately. Approx.: 2700 employees paid monthly and 140 paid fortnightly, dependent on volume of projects across Australia & New Zealand.
The Opportunity
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly salary payment - including transaction entry, payment calculations, leave import and end of pay processing when required.
- Maintain and respond to all email queries as first contact and send documentation as required
- Assist with termination calculations and prepare termination email and follow-up with employees prior to payment.
- Prepare and run Casual pay on a fortnightly basis, assist the monthly and month end pay on a monthly basis.
- Prepare Australia & New Zealand Casual and Monthly payroll for review before payment is made.

Is this role right for you?
- Relevant industry experience in payroll within a professional services business environment would be preferred.
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership
- Experience with Oracle / Sage MicrOpay / ConnX software or other large enterprise systems
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments.
- Ability to maintain effective working relations with internal and external (Superannuation Funds, ATO, external Auditors, external tax advisors and NLC (Novated Lease Company) clients
