A leading business within the natural resources sector is looking for a Payroll Officer part-time (3 days per week) on a permanent basis. Working within a collaborative team, you will assist with day to day payroll tasks as well as contribute to a number of process improvement initiatives across the function.Reporting To The Financial Controller, Your Duties Will Include
Ensure payroll integrity and compliance with internal controls. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current employment agreements and payroll legislation. Process weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time. Handle adjustments, termination pays, leave entitlements, and deductions. Code and allocate payroll invoices correctly. Manage salary sacrifice transactions. Maintain the vehicle register and process relevant invoices. Keep accurate employee records and payroll data. Maintain up-to-date electronic filing systems. Prepare statutory reports, including Payroll Tax and Superannuation returns. Reconcile payroll transaction with the general ledger monthly. To be successful in this role, you will have minimum 12 months high volume payroll experience. You will have an excellent customer service approach, be detail orientated and be able to identify areas for change and embrace it.
