SA Native Title Services are seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Officer and HR Support Person to join our staff on a full-time basis, providing administrative support to multiple functions of our Business Services Team.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end weekly & fortnightly payroll using Wiise and Reckon software
- Accurately allocate and track payroll and general administration expenses
- Reconcile and report superannuation for external clients
- Assist Finance Manager with Workcover payments and reconciliation statements
- Provide administrative and payroll support to the team and HR Advisor
- Timely preparation of employment contracts, onboarding documents, and assistance with the recruitment process
- Coordinate staff training, maintaining accurate records of employee progress
- Remain compliant with payroll requirements and legislative standards
- Ensure that payroll and HR information is kept confidential
Experience & attributes:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Payroll position
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (or working towards) are desirable
- Proficiency with Payroll systems and software
- Experience and qualifications in HR is advantageous.
- Familiarity with with any HRIS or HRMS
- Basic understanding of employment laws or contracts, and Fair Work Act
- Excellent numeracy and computer literacy skills
- Interest in and understanding of Indigenous Australian societies and cultures, and the issues affecting these cultures in Australian society
- Current Australian working rights and residence
