About the Role:
3M are currently recruiting an experienced part time Payroll Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to join a large multinational organization.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- End to end Payroll delivery and statutory/ tax filing in compliance to legislation.
- Staying abreast of laws and regulations and executing processes that comply with regulations while ensuring alignment with Global payroll standards.
- Staying abreast of best practices and current payroll laws and regulations.
- Partnership with outsourced payroll vendor to complete pay cycle.
- Analyzing and resolving inquiries from employees as they relate to payroll.
- Maintaining payroll and internal control procedures.
- Recommendations to improve and automate payroll processes.
- Data reporting in government platforms.
- Providing time and absence support and resolution.
- Collaborating closely with HR teams for other payroll relevant tasks.
- Posting of payroll related entries in the Finance system and analyse pay variances.
- Other projects / duties as assigned.
To succeed in this role, the successful candidate should meet the following criteria:
- At least 3-5 years of combined experience payroll, human resource, and/or finance in multinational company
- Excellent communication skills (speaking, listening and writing)
- Ability to take ownership and make informed decisions
- Sound investigative skills, with great attention to detail
- Good time management skills, organized and reliable
- Strong proficiency with local payroll legislation
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Experience in Workday and SAP ADP GlobalView payroll systems is a plus
- Payroll vendor management experience is a plu
This is a 12 month contract position with a possibility for extension.
