Act as our go-to HR Generalist for our Melbourne CBD and Melbourne Airport offices.
Role DescriptionWe’re looking for a People & Culture Advisor who can act as a HR Generalist, overseeing the employee lifecycle of our staff within our two Melbourne offices.
Working alongside the Office Coordinators and reporting into the People & Culture Senior Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality operational services that support the employee lifecycle, such as onboarding, leave management, employee file and data management, performance management, transition and offboarding of staff.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of operational service improvement projects, such as policy management, process improvement, query tracking, self-service information and other related People & Culture solutions.
- Building strong internal stakeholder relationships, as well as maintaining an up-to-date understanding of People-related issues/opportunities for improvement across our Melbourne CBD and Melbourne Airport offices.
- Partner with business leaders and provide People-related advice and support.
- Provide support to the P&C Senior Manager in relation reporting, analysis and the practical implementation of P&C plans or initiatives.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, you’ll need demonstrated experience working in a professional services organisation as a HR Advisor, preferably within the construction, property, engineering, advisory or consulting industries.
However other professional services backgrounds such as law, finance or other related industries will also be warmly welcomed.
You’ll also need:
- Generalist experience in HR support, delivering HR initiatives across the business for the benefit of our employees.
- Sound knowledge of HR policies and procedures, in order to provide generalist business advice.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- An ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and positively influence outcomes where required.
- An eagerness to be part of a tight-knit team. We’re looking for an enthusiastic team player, who’ll be accountable for outcomes; has a growth mindset; and wants to be part of a dynamic business that works flexibly.
- Experience using various HRIS software, such as Employment Hero, GO1, Culture Amp or other related systems.
- Adaptability; a curious mind; and the confidence to lead and support challenging people-related conversations.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Humanities, Business/Commerce, Law or Psychology.
