People and Culture Manager 

We are looking for an experienced leader to oversee our People & Culture Team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this newly created role will work within The Kalis Group Senior Leadership Team including the Chief Executive Officer, Operations and General Managers.

There is a coaching and compliance aspect to this role, and you will be supported to focus on continuous improvement. You will work to embed appropriate policies and processes whilst further developing our employee value proposition.

We are looking for a leader who enjoys working in a diverse and fast paced environment, who will complement The Kalis Group leadership team. 

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. These attributes will enable you to act as a trusted partner with the ability to influence decisions where appropriate. Your demonstrated generalist human resources and leadership experience, as well as a track record of taking initiative and creating pragmatic outcomes, will ensure your success in the role.

You must have strong knowledge across end-to-end employee relations matters and be confident providing support and advice.

What we are looking to you for:

  • To collaborate with Managers and develop, implement, and report on a people and culture strategy aligned with The Kalis Group business objectives and values.
  • Take a lead role in maintaining and developing the organisational culture by leading by example including fostering a positive work environment. 
  • Drive continuous improvement with a focus on our employee value proposition including Engagement, Learning and Development, Reward and Recognition, Safety, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. 
  • Ensure compliance with employment law including Workplace Health and Safety by working on the development, review and training of appropriate policies and practices. 
  • Work as a trusted partner with Managers to ensure they are appropriately skilled and enabled to access appropriate support, guidance, and information to manage workforce issues.
  • Provide authoritative advice and support on employee matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and develop direct reports.
