The OpportunityWe have a very exciting opportunity for a People & Culture Manager to join a winning team based out of our client's Port Melbourne office. They are a national organisation with 6000 employees and several key leaders in their executive team. This role covers VIC&TAS and reports into a fantastic GM of People and Culture who sits on the exec board and is a great mentor and leader.
As a key member of the organisation, you will play a vital role in negotiating and executing enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs) while fostering an environment that empowers employees and promotes growth. This is a HR generalist position and will see you involved in all aspects of the employment lifecycle. Your day to day will include:
- Providing guidance, coaching and advice to your key stakeholders being business managers
- 5 direct Reports - including TA + Learning
- Managing the recruitment and selection process with automated applicant tracking system (ATS) and team
- Driving a positive ethics-based working culture where the company values, policies, procedures, and people initiatives are paramount
- Supporting the business to manage employment relations matters
- Lead strategic negotiations and execution of EBAs to ensure fair and competitive terms for all employees
- Managing remuneration, performance and talent processes
- Supporting a working environment where people feel engaged, rewarded and valued
- Leading and developing your HR team to reach their full potential in achieving their goals
- Managing compliance with Workplace Health and Safety programs
- Supporting and driving activities of the wellness program and initiatives that build a healthy mind and body for all employees
- Contributing to the planning and implementation of people initiatives and projects that are both State and Nationally focussed whilst being an integral team member of the National HR Team
Success Looks Like This
- Customer centric approach as you are a people person!
- Services/Facilities Industry Experience ideal
- IR knowledge/experience needed even if basic
- Enterprise Agreement negotiation experience is preferred (only 6 in total to manage)
- Professional and considered manner
- Task orientated with efficient prioritisation
- Management experience - Managing TA function and HR
- Relationship builder with excellent communication skills
- Lead from the front with focus on developing a team
- Willingness to listen, evaluate and challenge when necessary
- Genuinely values human interactions
- Experience in the aviation sector is advantageous
