The Opportunity  

We are currently seeking an experienced Performance Analyst to join our team on 12-month Maximum TermContract.

In this role you will provide strategic support and comparative analysis across the WA racing industry product, with a strong focus on maximising participation and wagering across the three codes (Thoroughbred, Harness and Greyhounds).

We are looking for skills that will allow the successful applicant to fit in our team and culture and succeed:

• Provide input into strategies and policies to maximise participation in WA racing product, including ownership
• Provide input into strategies to maximise wagering on the WA thoroughbred, harness and greyhound product
• Collaborate with the Racing division to provide analytical and project support with initiatives to meet industry objectives
• Coordinate data dissemination and KPI deliverables specific to the code plans
• Undertake research and competitor analysis of other racing jurisdictions and wagering service providers
• Facilitate analysis using data to help inform decision-making

About You 

• Experience working within the racing industry in a similar role
• Ability to provide input and recommendations to planning and strategic initiatives
• Current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance analytical capabilities
• Demonstrated competence and well developed skills in:
  • Report writing
  • Problem solving and analysis
  • Communication, negotiating and interpersonal interaction
  • Delivering presentations to a broad range of audiences
  • Computer literacy within a Microsoft environment
• Ability to:
  • Undertake project work
  • Manage the effective and timely delivery of multiple tasks
• Interact proactively with internal and external stakeholders
• High level proficiency in Excel 
• Experience with Tableau would be highly regarded
