Downer Network Services provide maintenance and minor capital works for our key Electricity Distribution client in Victoria. Our team are specialists in their field and our environment involves a high level of collaboration with our field crews, planning experts, operational leaders & functional support teams.
We are thrilled to be in a position of expansion and are now looking to welcome additional Planners to the Planning & Utilisation arm of the contract. Our Planning team execute various strategies to support the dedicated and high performing field crews that continue to deliver critical and high priority work on the VIC network.
These roles are flexible on location and can be based at our Thomastown, Beaconsfield or Lilydale depots.
The team & opportunity:
Our planning teams are accountable for providing effective coordination to optimise productivity and utilisation of field resource teams, including our subcontractors. We strive to ensure our work packages are completed to the highest standard and that we continue to improve on lessons learned. You will have access to Senior Planners & technical guru's that can support and guide you through the complexities of the environment and contract we work within. No two days are the same in our world so the desire for diversity & professional development is a must.
Our ideal candidate:
Ideally you will have had experience within the Electricity Distribution industry (although this is not essential, and we encourage applications from individuals with varying backgrounds & experience). Perhaps you are a Lineworker, Cable Jointer or Electrician looking to come off the tools or progress into a role with both office & field-based activities.
- Construction and maintenance experience (preferred but not essential).
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities and communicate flawlessly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Authority to make application for electrical access authorities, including working knowledge of Ausnet Services and United Energy application platforms (preferred but definitely not essential).
