Plant Manager

Bindaree Food Group (BFG) is a vertically integrated supply chain business delivering global meat solutions both domestically and internationally and has solidified its position as a prominent leader in the Australian meat industry. In May 2023, BFG acquired the Monbeef processing facility based in Cooma at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Monbeef s a world-class processing plant taking quality beef from South Eastern Australia to the nation and the world.

Monbeef is a hot boning production facility with over 100 team members working across livestock, processing, packing, warehousing, quality, maintenance, people and safety. 

In this leadership position you will positively promote Company values, team member health & safety, quality programs while meeting operational objectives for production and yield. Reporting to the Group GM of Operations, you will have six direct reports including Operations, Quality, P&C, H&S, Maintenance and Livestock leaders. 

Some of your core responsibilities will include: 

• Building and developing a high performance team
• Setting and driving goals, KPIs and projects to strive to improve plant operational performance and output
• Establishing operational rhythms to ensure appropriate flow of information to all levels of the site
• Working with the site leadership team to review/ investigate serious incidents and ensuring remedial actions are taken
• Providing daily support to all operational staff, ensuring they have the resources required to deliver on business objectives
• Ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements including P&C, H&S and Quality
• Promote a positive image of the site and Company by collaborating with customers, government, community organisations
