Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plumbing Business Manager to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our Plumbing Business. The Plumbing Business Manager will play a key role in driving business growth, managing client relationships, and ensuring operational efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead a talented team and contribute to the success of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the Plumbing Business, including sales, operations, site visits, and administration, to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Assist in the servicing and maintenance department, minimising downtime for clients and the company.
- Assist and oversee all domestic and commercial projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all steps are followed meticulously.
- Serve as a point of contact for emergency response coordinating.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to drive growth, future project planning and forecasting, increase revenue, and expand market presence.
- Lead and supervise a team of tradesmen and support staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize productivity and performance.
- Customer service management, handle customer inquiries, complaints and escalations. Ensure the customer issues are addressed promptly and satisfactorily.
- Leave requirement planning, manage leave requests and plan staffing accordingly to maintain operational continuity.
- Toolbox meeting coordination, organise and lead toolbox meetings to ensure the team is informed and aligned on project objectives and safety protocols.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Coordinate with the sales team to generate leads, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts with new and existing clients.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage inventory levels, procurement, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment for project execution.
- Project scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on business performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the plumbing industry, with a strong track record of business development and operations management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Sound business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in computer software and applications, including MS Office and plumbing industry-specific software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Bonus: Plumbing license and or relevant trade certifications would be advantageous.
