The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Practice Manager who will play a pivotal role in our clients organisation, focusing not only on financial operations but also contributing to the overall enhancement of their business processes.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate understanding and adherence to the Queensland Law Society’s Trust Account Regulations.
- Conduct daily data entry, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Produce monthly bank reconciliations to maintain financial transparency.
- Manage banking processes and receipting with precision.
- Execute cheque drawing as required.
- Process invoices and receipts efficiently.
- Ensure timely payment of creditors.
- Oversee payroll processing and maintain accurate records.
- Effectively manage debtors and client relationships.
- Handle costs agreement management with attention to detail.
- Monitor and manage budget and forecasts to support financial planning.
- Process superannuation payments accurately and on time.
- Prepare and lodge BAS in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide staff training on relevant systems.
- Attend to assessment and lodgement of stamp duty assessments with the office of state revenue.
- Undertake office management duties, encompassing financial, managerial, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Liaise with external accounts to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Experience:
- Previous experience within a Law or Accounting firm.
- Tertiary degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Xero and practice management software to streamline operations.
- Track record of successfully implementing financial strategies and improving overall financial performance.
- Prior experience in managing billing, collections, and accounts receivable in a law firm setting advantageous.
- Experience with financial reporting, analysis, and presenting findings to leadership.
