Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO) is an integrated system of four processing hubs and five mines, connected by more than 1,000 kilometres of rail infrastructure and port facilities in the Pilbara region of northern Western Australia.​

Our iron ore business includes integrated iron ore mines, rail and port operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia: South Flank, Jimblebar, Newman Operations, Port Hedland Ports, Yandi, Mining Area C.

About the Role
The purpose of this role is to provides technical expertise in the provision of on-demand HR support to Leaders and prioritised HR project support for the business.
As a Principal HR Consulting you will:

  • Assess change impacts to prepare integrated change management plans, manage change readiness and resistance, and upskill leaders and impacted stakeholders in the adoption and successful delivery of the change.
  • Lead Proven model of project delivery that clients appreciate and that successfully coordinates the various HR teams required to deliver key projects and initiatives.
  • Apply functional expertise to deliver fit for purpose outcomes and, provision of HR advice to ensure effective delivery of HR outcomes and business deliverables.
  • Coordinate HR sub-functions to deliver services and outcomes beyond the expectations of the customer.
  • Strong focus on engaging with customers across the Asset to ensure that our work is planned and executed well.
  • Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.
  • Actively monitor and report on work in progress
  • Provide governance to all aspects of HR processes and outcomes in line with business expectations.
  • Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence-based decision making.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
  • Demonstrated experience working in HR organisations, ideally with experience working in a HR Operations, HR Business Partner, or HR Consulting environment.
  • Expertise across the full spectrum of HR activity, including performance, change management, organisational design, culture, and foundational HR processes.
  • Track record of leading effective and efficient project teams to deliver consistently high-quality outcomes for their customers.
  • Experience in or knowledge of Project Management and Agile methodologies and/or experience on project studies preferable.
Location and Roster
You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - 'City Square'. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.
You will be working on Monday-Friday roster. Flexible work is also offered.
