SalaryPrincipal Project Manager
The Principal Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the transformation of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) platform used by the Human Services Regulator (HSR) to a fit for purpose ICT system for the Social Services Regulator (to be established 1 July 2024). Legislative reforms arising from the Social Services Regulation Act 2021 and the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005 are expected to expand our responsibility as a regulator to the Victorian community and require the enhancement of our ICT systems. The Principal Project Manager will scope out and deliver the systems and processes required to support an efficient transition to the new regulatory schemes.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a proven track record of leading projects, in particular ICT transformation projects, from start to finish across a complex program of work.
- Is an excellent communicator and always seeks to find the best possible solutions centred on value for money, cost and risks and impacts to internal stakeholders and broader community and sector.
- Has experience with navigating departmental processes related to ICT systems, corporate services, procurement, and contracts management.
- Has technical understanding of ICT systems, infrastructure, and security to undertake research and formulate recommendations to support project planning and decision making.
- Has experience in developing and implementing strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of projects, including risk, and contingency management, benefits realisation, and project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues and assess project progress on overall effectiveness.
- Has experience authoring briefs and presenting project outcomes and issues, providing recommendations to resolve issues to executives and governance committees.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead and oversee all aspects of ICT project development and implementation including business cases and project plans, establishing appropriate governance, identifying, allocating and managing resources, and meeting reporting requirements, to ensure operational and SSR ICT change and transitional project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and in line with ICT project management methodology.
- Develop a communication and engagement Strategy and build strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the project and project deliverables are met.
- Manage the contracts and performance of an ecosystem of delivery partners to ensure they deliver quality outcomes based on the contractual and service level requirements.
