AddressOur client, an ASX-listed Australian resources exploration and mining company, operates numerous projects across Australasia. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Process Superintendent to join their dynamic team. This permanent role is based at their mining operation in the Mt Isa region, on an 8/6 FIFO roster.
Position Overview:
The Process Superintendent is a pivotal role responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the processing plant. You will ensure that both short-term and long-term strategic goals are met, aligning with the overall business plan. This role requires a leader who can support plant process manager in designing and manage systems to optimise plant performance and recovery, driving significant production increases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Operations: Develop and implement strategies to streamline process operations while maintaining cost-efficiency.
- Management: Oversee operational costs, ensuring alignment with budgets and fiscal responsibility.
- Leadership: Lead, train, and supervise the processing team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Spares Management: Manage the procurement and maintenance of critical spares to minimize downtime.
- Oversight: Collaborate with the laboratory team to ensure accurate sampling and testing, maintaining quality control.
- Upgrades: Participate in plant design discussions and lead initiatives for upgrades to enhance throughput and efficiency.
What You'll Need:
- Metallurgy, Process Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- S2, S3 Queensland Supervision certification.
- 5 years in processing plant operations, with a background in project, team, and contractor management.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and prior experience with Pronto software
- Queensland driver's license
