The Opportunity
This is a piviotal role as it will work on advancing Woolworths Group commitment to diversity & inclusion in our non-trade or Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) Suppliers. This position requires a strong understanding of procurement principles, diversity & inclusion best practice and key Government developments. A strategic Procurement focus is necessary to ensure that policy, contracts, training & tools keep up with Woolworths aspirations in this area as well as exceptional stakeholder management, team collaboration, and communication skills to align the business to common goals.

What you'll do
Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to increase indigenous spend in non-trade categories, identifying potential indigenous suppliers, assisting with on-boarding and developing frameworks to foster ongoing relationships, with a hands-on approach in regards to key strategic partners
Map out strategies and plans to articulate how we contribute to positive outcomes for other diverse groups
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships to influence key stakeholders to ensure alignment and success of diversity & inclusion initiatives
Develop and implement communications strategy to engage, inform & educate Woolworths' employees across all levels on diversity & inclusion initiatives, targets and emerging trends
Continuously monitor and report on progress towards Woolworths' spend targets and commitments, providing data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities for diversifying Woolworths' supplier base and increasing representation from underrepresented groups
What you'll bring
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of success in implementing diversity & inclusion initiatives.
- Extensive knowledge of indigenous procurement practices and experience working with indigenous businesses.
Demonstrated expertise in partnering, stakeholder management, team collaboration, and communication.
Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and regulations related to indigenous procurement and disability inclusion.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate opportunities for improvement.
