Procurement (Mrp Specialist - Netsuite) Officer

This is a great career opportunity for passionate professionals to drive efficient procurement processes for our multiple warehouses and optimize supply chains by implementing and managing our MRP system (Oracle NetSuite) .

You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the MRP system to ensure accurate forecasting, inventory management, and timely purchasing of FMCG both locally and internationally. Additionally, you will oversee the purchasing process, working closely with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules while maintaining the highest standards of quality and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement MRP strategies to optimise inventory levels and minimise lead times.
• Set up and configure the MRP system to accurately reflect product demand, production schedules, and inventory levels.
• Monitor inventory levels and generate purchase orders based on MRP recommendations to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, and finance to align purchasing activities with organisational goals and objectives.
• Conduct regular analysis of purchasing data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and process improvements.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Resolve any purchasing-related issues or discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in MRP systems and purchasing processes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an MRP Specialist or in a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of success in implementing and managing MRP systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Proficiency in MRP software and ERP systems, with the ability to customize and optimize system settings to meet business needs.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management principles, and inventory control methods.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
