Procurement Officer Role in High Performing Procurement Team

This WA Government organisation has a strong focus on developing an optimum stakeholder and customer experience, and to ensure high levels of integrity and enhance quality and sustainability within the sector. They currently have an opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join their team for a 6-month maximum-term contract, with the potential for permanency.
Your new role
Reporting to the Procurement Team Leader, this role works with all business units to deliver compliant, effective, and sustainable procurement solutions. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance with the organisation's procurement policy as well as legislation
- Lead requests for quote, tender and expressions of interest
- Source suppliers and respond to clarifications during the request process
- Provide advice to internal stakeholders for compliant and best practice procurement process
- Assist with audit documentation and reporting
