Key Duties and Accountabilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process including procurement planning, professional preparation of relevant documentation, sourcing, receipt of offers, overseeing the evaluation process, negotiations, seeking appropriate approvals and contract award (in consultation with clients in accordance with DRDMW policies, delegations, authorisations, procedures and guidelines) along with exercising a procurement authorisation and certification.
- Manage a variety of concurrent procurement projects (and other business-related projects) by exercising a high degree of judgement, to meet operational and/or business deadlines.
- Provide advice across a range of procurement related areas including procurement strategies, contract development and management, offer evaluation and contractors.
- Monitor and report on the department's achievements of stated key performance indicators and procurement targets, including contract disclosure reporting and other whole-of-Government reporting requirements.
- Influence the capability and profile of procurement with the department and contribute to the development of knowledge and expertise of departmental procurement certification officers in the delivery of effective procurement practices.
- Update and review the Department's procurement templates as required.
- Other duties as directed and required.
