About the Procurement Team: As part of the Finance & Administration department, the Procurement team works with researchers to ensure procurement activities are in-line with required procedures and that QIMR Berghofer is buying at market or below market rates. Role Purpose / Key Responsibilities: This position will manage the day to day purchasing operations of the Institute in an effective and efficient manner, through: Creating and managing purchase orders from requisition demand through to delivery of goods, Ensuring all purchasing activity is done in accordance with the Institute’s policies and procedures, Providing advice and assistance where appropriate to Institute staff on procurement policy, processes and services, Maintaining the required audit trails and key documentation, Ensuring compliance with Delegated Authorities, Where required maintaining master data, The generation of information and reports, Supporting the management of Tender documentation and processes.
