What's the opportunity?
Telstra Health manages the National Cancer Screening Register, offering a digital platform for unified electronic records in cervical and bowel cancer screening. This role will be crucial to the new National Lung Cancer Screening Project collaborating closely with the Department of Health for the National Lung Cancer Screening Register to maximise prevention and early detection.
As the Product Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring that product development aligns seamlessly with our strategic vision. This involves the discovery, ideation, shaping, and implementation of innovative solutions through collaborative efforts with your dedicated team. Your skill in balancing business objectives, customer needs, and resources will be pivotal in achieving positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

• Own and manage all features of the product throughout its lifecycle within your domain.
• Drive discovery for new product development initiatives or enhancements, utilising tools like lean canvas, opportunity tree, personas, and interview snapshots.
• Utilise Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles to ensure all work is customer-centric.
• Prioritise work for your team, maintaining a continuous stream of development.
• Champion the product vision throughout the organization and create product requirements for engineering and support teams.
• Analyse market data and engage Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to inform industry best practices.
• Present at internal showcases and rituals and coordinate with respective teams for product launches.
• Track product performance to make enhancement decisions accordingly.
• Cultivate a curious mindset, questioning and understanding the "why" to ensure strategic initiative alignment.
• Encourage a culture that prioritises research-backed and customer-focused data.
• Champion modern product management ways of working throughout the wider business.
• Facilitate workshops, requirements, and user story writing, and journey mapping.

About you:

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Product Manager in a software development environment, preferably with B2B or SaaS solutions.
• Previous experience with software implementations, project management, and/or change management.
• Previous experience in an Agile software development environment and Human-Centred Design.
• Previous experience developing roadmaps aligned with company goals.
• Previous experience in customer-facing roles and launching and measuring the success of products.
• Exposure to the Healthcare industry is highly regarded.
