Your new role
In your new role as a Production Manager, you will be positioned within the Precast Operations team, responsible for a team of 12 workers. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of their manufacturing facility in the South-East of Melbourne CBD.
Your day-to-day duties include -
- Responsible for implementing and reporting the production team's adherence to all health and safety policies
- Overseeing all production processes within this department
- Managing and supervising the production team (including but not limited to hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions)
- Rostering of all staff to meet production demands as well as delegating tasks amongst staff
- Planning and production scheduling
- Ordering of raw materials to meet demands
- Estimating costs & contributing to future CAPEX budgets
- Implementing continual improvements to the production process
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have previous experience in a similar role as a Production Manager as well as -
- A manufacturing background with experience in the manufacturing of precast products being highly regarded
- A can-do attitude with strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate others and act as a point of leadership for the team
- Sound knowledge and understanding of HSEQ requirements
- Full working rights in Australia
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required
