As the successful applicant you should be an exemplary classroom practitioner who can lead the implementation of excellence in teaching practice within the Health & Physical Education Learning Area. The ability to authentically evaluate the effectiveness of teaching practice and team performance, then improve staff capacity is an important aspect of the role.The successful applicant will have high standards of professionalism and embrace opportunities for collaboration and partnerships within and beyond the school community. A deep knowledge of Year 7 to 12 curriculum aspects including compliance, assessment, and reporting practices is also required.The successful applicant should possess the skills to translate the priorities of the school’s Business Plan and Strategic Directions into a learning area improvement plan that provides clear direction for their staff. Another important aspect of the position will be the ability to understand the wider school context and constructively work with other PC’s and the executive team to achieve the schools broader objectives.
