About This Opportunity
The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing end-to-end projects of varying size, scale and complexity to ensure the successful delivery of project-specific strategic and operational outcomes.
You will support the implementation of The University of Queensland, Vice Chancellor’s strategic Health Research Accelerator (HERA) initiative. You will be responsible for undertaking project administration tasks and workflows in a timely manner as well as ensuring researchers meet financial and progress reporting requirements for their strategic funding.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Deliver efficient research administration to the HERA initiative by effectively managing project administration tasks and workflows and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the HERA initiative implementation and operations and undertake problem-solving to propose and implement agreed solutions.
- Develop skills and expertise in research funding management to analyse and interpret complex rules and regulations and provide authoritative advice.
- Develop effective working relationships with staff in academic divisions, internal and external stakeholders, colleagues and management to support the professional curation and proactive management of HERA programs and partnerships.
- Effectively manage the post-award end-to-end workflows through identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities, including data analysis, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of policies, processes and system.
This is a full-time, fixed-term role through to July 2025.
At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $88,099 - $94,512 plus a generous super allowance of 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $103,076 - $110,579 annually.
About You
- Relevant qualifications and/or work experience in administration/program/project management.
- Previous experience in research grant support would be highly valued.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to negotiate, exercise diplomacy and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying complex policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in delivery of quality, professional, customer focused services to clients in an environment with tight deadlines.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills plus a high degree of initiative, with proven ability to instigate and undertake tasks with minimum supervision or direction.
- Demonstrated data interpretation and analytical skills, problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and recommend solutions to challenging issues.
